We have years of experience of running mini research projects, which means working in partnership with a teacher to trial something creative and see what the real impact is. If you are a school who would be interesting in funding or part-funding a research project or simply want to discuss initial ideas, please contact Beci.
Network and and free Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for teachers
Borne out of Creative Partnerships funding, CapeUK and darts partnered in running a network of schools doing research projects based around music. Each half term a group of approximately 10 teachers met to discuss the research projects, share ideas and good practice and look at sharing all the good findings across Doncaster.
The music files on this page are from a project called 'Hands Up!', during which musicians from darts (Phill Howley, Beci Jamieson, Jim Lunt and Janet Wood) worked with six Doncaster schools in partnership with CapeUK and Creative Partnerships. The tracks provide inspiration for using music in the classroom, with warm-ups, songs and backing tracks to get those vocal chords humming!

With Creative Partnerships drawing to an end, we are still committed to seeing what the future of this network could look like.
Imagine a space to gain creative ideas. Imagine a dedicated time once every half term to touch base with other teachers all wanted to explore creativity in the classroom. Imagine receiving free CPD from professional artists that can be used in the classroom immediately. Imagine finding out about creative findings that are happening nationally. Imagine being able to shape the future of such a network and the direction of darts. This is the dream. We are living it. Be part of it.
