Artists will soon be working with residents of a Doncaster bail hostel to dispel some myths... Using visual arts, words and songwriting, artists will work with existing hostel users to create a new leaflet for potential hostel users. 

The leaflet will be in residents' own words and will aim to dispel myths about hostels and also tell people about the structure and key work sessions etc.

darts' artists will deliver five workshops in the hostel. Initial sessions will concentrate on collecting ‘myths, real stories and experiences' about living in a hostel before residents work with a visual artist to create artwork for the leaflet.

The workshops are designed to build participants' creative skills and their understanding of different artforms in addition to giving us some feedback on what particularly engages the participants.  We will also look to collect soft evidence of changes in attitudes.
