Gingerbread house appears in Edlington

When dawn broke, Hansel and Gretel started to wander about the forest, seeking a path, but all hope soon faded. They were well and truly lost. On they walked and walked, till suddenly they came upon a strange cottage in the middle of a glade...

Inside the Gingerbread House, people of Edlington found artists Beci Jamieson and Caroline Gaytor ready to help the fairytale come to life with scary stories and strange treats to make...

Musician Beci passed around a singing mixing bowl to create a spooky atmosphere… a humming ringing sound soon filled the gingerbread house... then told the story of Hansel and Gretel with children joining in and inventing sound effects using percussion instruments.

Caroline encouraged the children to let their imaginations run wild and helped them to make friendly and creepy houses that they could make into masks.

...and they all lived happily ever after...
