Young tenants create a buzz at The Point

St Leger Homes invited its young tenants and their families to take part in a day of creative activity at The Point to stimulate conversation and consultation about the services and opportunities the Doncaster Young Tenants Action Group (DYTAG) can offer.

So after coffee and cake the building was buzzing with activities, including working on individual pieces of art using block printing techniques and working as a group to create a musical soundscape (which acted as a back-drop to targeted consultation recorded throughout the day).

Participants also sat down with a words/drama worker to generate ideas for the style and content of a DYTAG website. This work also acted as a stimulus for further training organised by St Leger Homes as a follow on to the session at darts.

The day was a huge success! All places for future web design training were filled, and new participants joined DYTAG (doubling the size of the group).

In the cosy and welcoming atmosphere of The Point, participants enjoyed engaging with the creative consultation process and making their voices heard by those who can create change!

All workshops were designed to be accessible by all and the enthusiasm and level of engagement of participants created a buzz that was felt throughout the building!
