On Monday 15 March from 1.30pm, The Point welcomes anyone who has a caring responsibility e.g. caring for someone who is disabled, has a long term health condition or is chronically ill to come and take part in a session which focuses on relaxation.
Artists will lead a short creative workshop designed to relax and delight. There will also be qualified holistic therapists on hand to offer soothing treatments such as head/shoulder, hand arm massage, reiki, and EFT.
We will lead you through some self help techniques you can use everyday to help you de-stress, and teach you skills so you can give a relaxing treat to the person you care for.
Specialists are also on hand to offer advice on accessing mental health support and to signpost you to advice and guidance about caring and all the issues involved.
A buffet lunch will be served at 1.00pm and the workshop activities happen from 1.30pm-3.00pm. Lunch and all the workshop activities are free!
For more details about the workshop please contact our reception team on 01302 341662.
This workshop is part of the HARMONY project which is being developed by darts (Doncaster Community Arts), Doncaster Partnership of Carers, RDASH and SYCIL’s Total Wellbeing Service.
