Free music day for budding musicians
Young people aged 9+ can explore all things music this February Half Term at our free event!
Would you love to record your vocals with a professional singer? How about spinning the decks alongside a Number One record producer and club DJ? Fancy learning to play the Ukulele with a touring rock guitarist?
At the Donny Together Music Day, led by darts (Doncaster Community Arts) and Higher Rhythm in partnership with EXPECT Youth, young people can enjoy these activities and much more with excellent professional musicians.
This fun event will also help young people discover the amazing opportunities available in Doncaster to gain a whole range of new skills, and get real expertise from those who have played music all their lives.
Assistant Director for darts, Helen Jones said: “There are so many things to do in Doncaster during February Half Term, but not all of them are free. Donny Together Music Day gives young people who love music an entire day of fantastic and enjoyable activities that don’t cost a penny.
“We can’t wait to welcome young people from across Doncaster to The Point, our welcoming and inclusive venue.”
Donny Together Music Day takes place on Wednesday 19 February, 10am – 4pm at The Point on South Parade.
The Point has full disabled access including lifts, disabled toilets and a Changing Place Facility. Staff have Makaton and Dementia Friends training. There is an FAQ guide for families which provides information on what parents and carers can expect from a visit.
